Studio 9 Films

In the Summer of 2020, I did 3 weeks of work experience for Studio 9 Films.

During this time I had the opportunity to learn about the process of making a documentary from a woman with a wealth of experience in the industry. The company was in the early stages of production for their current project which meant that I learned about a lot of the groundwork that needs to go in before a film can even begin to shoot.

The main skills I developed during this time were:

• Digitising mini-disks
• Transcribing interviews and keeping strict note of timecodes
• Organising and logging research files so no information was missed
